This command is especially useful when:
  • Testing newly added filters (phrase or regex)
  • Troubleshooting filters that don’t seem to catch names
  • Validating changes before running a /cleanse

How to Use

/name-filters test test-username:<name>

Example:

/name-filters test test-username:pascal_bot Hashbot will respond with whether the name would trigger a filter — and specify which filter, if any.
The Test Filters box on the Dashboard’s Text Filters page runs your test through the bot’s live matching engine — including Fuzzy Mode normalization and built-in detections — so its verdict exactly matches real enforcement. For fuzzy or complex cases, prefer it over the slash command.

Why Use This?

  • Avoid false positives before applying new filters
  • Confirm your regex or phrase syntax is working as intended
  • Validate templates and Fuzzy Mode normalization with known scam variants
After enabling Fuzzy Mode or applying a Blocklist Template, test a few known scam names to confirm they’re correctly flagged.
